As the world spins giddily into a whole New Year we have a chance to press reset, to recalibrate and re-dream our vision for ourselves, our precious Earth and our collective humanity. This past year I’ve spent many hours in nature, calming my nervous system which picks up all the tensions of our collective and ancestral network. Whether we realise it or not, we all pick up these tensions because we are part of a huge web of sentient life. Each of us feels the tremors from all corners of our vast interwoven web. Surprisingly, on quantum level, the physical…

We are being shaken now. Perhaps shaken until we awaken. And some of us may feel more shaken than others. Some of us may feel overwhelmed. Uprooted, plucked or perhaps even dashed. If you are at the front line of the pandemic, my heart goes out to you. Thank you for being where you are right now, and for all you are doing in service to others and your community. The rest of us each have our own response-ability. The responsibility to help the frontliners as best we can, through innovation or material support or by containing the numbers through…

I live mostly above the fog line, but sometimes find myself deep in it. It’s a continual dance. Between clarity and uncertainty, conviction and self doubt. Have you noticed? This is what happens whenever you get to the top of any ladder. We arrive back at “same old, same old”. A nagging sense of recognition. Non sense. Just a deep knowing that I’ve been here before. The recognition that the ladder leads nowhere. Yet everywhere. Soft clouds that can’t be walked across with a heavy heart or lead boots. It takes play and delight instead of many balloons and lots…

Perhaps there’s something stuck in this tree that needs to be set free? I’m curious to know what you see. If you don’t mind sharing, tell us in the comments below. Last Saturday I came across these this phenomenon while walking in the woods. It was as if the tree had actually grown around a real person. I showed the picture to several friends and everyone saw something different. Perhaps this tree is a kind of mystic mandrake or even Rorschach test that leads us, through creative play and exploration, to what needs loosening up. If you are wondering what’s…

A message to all healers, light workers, mindfulness teachers, artists, writers and creative types out there in the world right now: I first saw this this quote in Elizabeth Gilbert’s book on writing titled “Big Magic”. Gilbert told a wonderful story about how a young film maker had written to his hero, Werner Herzog, complaining about how difficult it was to be a film maker. Herzog wrote back a tough but energizing reply that included a call to action: quit whining and get back to work! I love this quote so much I have it up on my wall. What…
